Nick Lowe rocks solo acoustic eh Michael?

Sat. 5/3/08 10:12am From: david rose

Sure, we'll listen to some Nick Lowe today, Michael.

Sat. 5/3/08 10:23am From: Parq

Hey Michael, neat trick following the 4 Seasons with a country singer who sounds like Frankie Vallie.

Sat. 5/3/08 10:47am From: Paul

Avril Lavigne seems oddly out of place on this show. Love everything else.

Sat. 5/3/08 10:52am From: Sammy The Seal

I thought it was a good song - is there a reason we shouldn't like it?

Sat. 5/3/08 10:53am From: david rose

I never heard it before and thought it was a #1 hit. You've got to trust Michael's judgment.

Sat. 5/3/08 11:00am From: Paul

If you like it, that's cool. I just thought it was an unusual choice for this show. That's all.

Sat. 5/3/08 11:13am From: sugarwolf

A new record store opened up by me, and they were giving out Dum Dums. I got banana flavor.

Sat. 5/3/08 11:36am From: Kyle

I just dropped the self addressed envelope in the mailbox!

Sat. 5/3/08 12:41pm From: Peter K.

Glad you got to see Nick Lowe; sorry about the assholes. Irene and I caught him a few weeks ago in Manhattan and were, like you, blown away. He's still got it!

Sat. 5/3/08 12:48pm From: Paul

Three people I used to see whenever they came to Chicago: Lowe, D. Edmunds, Graham Parker.

Sat. 5/3/08 12:48pm From: Ken in Denver

Nick Lowe, master of No. 1 hits! Did he throw in any surprises? n Boulder he and Ron Sexsmith did a killer Louvin Bros. cover with drop-dead harmonies.

Sat. 5/3/08 12:55pm From: Paul

I worked in a disco when this song was a hit. I really grew to hate it.
Funny to hear now, though. Thanks.

Here's a podcast of a Nick Lowe show from last fall:

Sun. 5/4/08 1:31am From: Berry

I truly do not understand Nick Lowe. Yuck.

Sun. 5/4/08 10:47pm From: Peter

I saw Nick Lowe in SF and enjoyed it very much, everyone sang along and it wasn't annoying. He did a Beatles song with Robyn Hitchcock as an encore (I think it was If I Fell).

Wed. 5/14/08 4:17am From: Rosemarie

Loved the interview with Vince - looking forward to the future interview with Kris Ife.

Love & Hugs
Rosemarie

Thu. 5/15/08 7:34pm From: Bernadette
