Wow! What a great sound to wake up to. I discovered the Tenores de Oniferio last year (thanks to a mash up played by Vicki Bennett) and it quickly became my immediate favorite. I keep the album on my iPod, and I get very strange reactions from people who hear it when I play it aloud. I find it truly incredible. Thanks Dan, for giving me something else to hunt for.,

peter, if you love the tenores de oniferio and orosei, you should also look for tenores de bitti -- they have some amazing records and I think they're my favorites of the sardinian vocal groups. you might also enjoy georgian vocal music -- try rustavi choir or tsinindali chorus. you can check all these artists out on my old shows, just search the playlists.

Can you give me information about female singer Jennie Shangman (??). I heard her on FMU on either Saturday or Sunday morning around 7:30 while driving on route 80 in NJ. Can't remember the song (an oldie), but I was struck by the naturalness and clarity of her vocal style and I'd like to hear more.
