Listener comments!

Some of the Andy Warhol films were not intended for viewing like regular movies with stories. It was more like the movie screen was a portal or a window to another place or experience that you chose or left. That's why he made those mad films of Nico sleeping or the ocean. It was intended to resemble the actual experience in real time. You can leave the theater and come back again just as you would any other room.

thanks william - I would love the opportunity to see or walk in and out of empire some day

Good evening Benjamin. Wish my high school had an electronic music studio. Ah well. Seriously, I found a circa 1968 article online that's a primer for high school electronic music teachers: http://www.jstor.org/pss/3392384 (although you'll need to get it through a library for full access). "Check your patch cords!" "Are you using the sine or square wave on the generator?"

yes we had no such program at my high school
I can only imagine that the cowboys would have gotten into this instead of beating on the skinny kids
