Hey gang, just a reminder that today is Record Store Day. And funny Michael should mention the Jesus of Cool rerelease, coz that's exactly what I'm planning to buy at my local indie soundz purveyor.

I really prefer the regular 17 minute version of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida but it's too long to be a #1 hit. Thanks Bill Kelly for leaving In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida in Michael's mailbox!

Sun. 4/20/08 10:15pm From: Adam

An unbelievable interview. I was totally moved when he became a little emotional talking about why he felt he survived his childhood in good shape and what he tells his kids. Really great.

Mon. 4/21/08 11:55am From: Michael

Saw the Cowsills at the Bushnell Auditorium in Hartford in 1967.when I was 10 years old. Local band The Wildweeds w/Big Al Anderson opened! I still sorta remember the show.

Love, LOVE, LOVE the John Cowsill interview. John was quite open, genuine, honest, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

Tue. 4/22/08 10:53am From: Rufus

Your interview with John was really pretty wonderful, you know, and quite prescient. The Cowsills (minus John, alas) will at B.B. Kings in New York at the end of July. Thanks for the great interview, Michael. You do good work.

Tue. 4/22/08 8:06pm From: Cindy

Wow - what a sad story. Really honest and heartfelt interview. I agree, it'd make a great book. I thought a girl named Janice Murray had started one years ago.

Go to cowsill.com and get the Cowsills CD, "Global." You won't be disappointed. The rock band that never was.

Tue. 4/22/08 8:23pm From: Lynn

Amazing interview with John Cowsill. It's inspiring to see those "kids" make it through their childhood and turn out as such warm, loving adults as they have. Too often it turns the other way. thanks Michael, and John too for being so open and honest.
