I began to start to listen to lyrics a few months ago. But most of the time I just can't hear them or understand them (bad hearing) and when I do or when they print a lyrics sheet they make me wanna puke so I just play some body music instead mostly. The body music hopefully has a girl singing over it in a sweet voice and she sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111 ;):):);))

NEXT WEEK!!! DETAILS BELOW!!!
Join me LIVE ON THE AIR (via the internet or in person) in WFMU's First Rock Band Band!!!
Wanna play LIVE on the air on Monday 2/4? Then you gotta AUDITION!!
DATES: Thursday 1/31, 9 - 10pm EST
Saturday 2/2, 6 - 7pm EST
To register for an audition slot during that time, just send me an email: trent@wfmu.org. I'll let you know when to sign on to Xbox live. I'll choose a song and invite you to play at your designated time - you choose the difficulty level. If you show up and play well, you'll get a slot to play with me live (over the internet) on WFMU next Monday, 8-9am! First come first served. Positions are open for remote play on guitar, drums, and bass. If you're interested in singing, COOL, but you have to come to the studio to sing since Rock Band doesn't support vocal transmission over Xbox Live.
FAQ
What in the world is this all about?!?!
Rock Band is a video game that comes with a fake guitar, drum kit, and microphone that you plug into your Xbox 360. You play the "instruments" along with popular songs - everything from Radiohead to Boston to the Stones - alone or with friends. Kind of like Guitar Hero but more. If you don't get it, go play it at Best Buy or something. It's awesome, trust me.
But I have the PS3 / PC / Mac version!!! Don't you care about me??
Yes but I am not a rich man and only own ONE console of the current generation. If you'd like to bring your PS3 / Mac / PC setup in to let more people in on the game by all means let me know.
What are you looking for in the audition?
Mostly that you'll show up on time and nail the solo. If you can't handle get less than 85%, try harder!! You gotta sound GOOD to be on WFMU.
What songs will we be playing in the audition / on the air?
I don't know yet. Something good. No Coheed and Cambria, if that's what you're asking.
What if you run out of time slots?
Then we'll have to do it again soon...I'll put ya on the waiting list.
What do I get for playing?
A sense of intense accomplishment, my eternal adoration, and maybe some prizes. We'll see.
Any other questions, let me know!!!

Beggars group -- independent distribution label -- see Beggars Banquet, early mid-80s "alternative" crap...
Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, Marc Almond Soft Cell... associated with Rough Trade at one point...

Catpatz - thanks and esp thanks for being up SO early, or late, or whatever.
Zoey - Congratz!!!! Isn't it SO FUCKING HARD with the fast notes at the end?!!?!!
Krebs - got it - I was mostly just saying like what does "independent distribution label" REALLY MEAN? What are the people in their offices ACTUALLY DOING all day long besides looking at a blog ;)
Thanks Mike Pike - hear you soon!!!!!! Or vice versa

Transatlantic pronunciation feedback: we're in line on how to say 'Grafton Primary'. But, just to be awkward, the previous track - 'Sloth' - we rhyme with 'growth'. The music sounds great in any language.

Awkward enough, thanks. Sloth is def. like "moth" here in the USA. But good to know, I won't embarrass myself at that Zoology conference I'm attending next month in Kent. Thanks for listening!!
