Radio Dave:
I'd find it tough working in the office with this music. I just ordered a copy of Tonto. It's wonderful. And now to retrieve a 2nd cup of coffee in order to catch up with Italy.

That co-ed latrine at an outdoor rave does indeed sound like a nightmare, Sue! Cool to hear that Donnacha Costello is a prof...

Liz- Kimya D. is really popular just now -- my daughter called me to say Kimya will the on "The View" at 11AM today. Good for Kimya -- hope you can get her to do a set.
|
Mon. 1/21/08 10:31am
Liz B.:
Yeah, it's really cool and amazing that Kimya is getting such great attention. I'm probably competing with Oprah to get a Kimya appearance!
|
Mon. 1/21/08 10:41am
Jim De:
Yeah, Kimya is great. She is totally without pretension -- she's been extremely kind to my kids when they've gone to her shows. By-the-bye, I'm your loyal listener who followed you to WFMU from KDVS, your earlier radio days. Best, Jim
|
Mon. 1/21/08 10:47am
Liz B.:
Wow, Jim! The KDVS days!? Thanks for sticking around for so long!

Apropos of nothing in today's show: "We must rapidly begin the shift from a thing-oriented society to a person-oriented society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, MATERIALISM, and militarism are incapable of being conquered." --MLK

Paganite:
Honestly, I went from listening to disco (ok I am dating myself) to house to deep house to acid jazz and trip hop and finally just jazz, the last stop because a) I am gettin' on now and can't dig the fast stuff and b) there was absolutely nothing good to listen to on the radio. I caught your program on my way upstate for a few days at my cabin and I was TOTALLY KNOCKED OUT. Thank you so much for bringing us all the kinky stuff, you must be a freak (in a good way) (takes one to know one, especially re: music.)
