Listener comments!

  9:01am Doug "Ricky Boat" Chase:

Happy halloween! I am the only one dressed up at work, what a bunch of lame-o's.
  9:01am JJZ:

Boo.
  9:02am Conor:

This is the scariest song I've ever heard. Happy Halloween!
  9:02am dave in vermont:

yikes
  9:08am Celery Lover:

Throw away your celery?
  9:09am Eric Hoffsten:

Hey! Wow, this Corpusse track is wonderful... More of a silly-scary than scary-scary, but still. Throbbing Gristle's "Hamburger Lady" is still the scariest-scary track EVER.
  9:12am jonathan:

i love me some celery.
laundry.
  9:25am Listener Dave:

When did Ken turn into Zacherly?
  9:26am Beth:

Yay, Eddie returns!
9:27am Gordon, the chubby WFMU volunteer:

Hey, Eddie, since Ken isn't in the studio today, for Halloween how about some JUDSON FOUNTAIN!!??!!
  9:28am fightingJCityStyle:

nice STARK EFFECT!! - if you got tennis ball that's a great rack too!
no celery
Boo
YA
  9:35am miss v:

So beautiful I go cry now. Cry into my corn candy.
  9:38am BZ:

Yes! I wanted some Psycho action since that creepy show so many months ago... Woke up singing it this morning!
  9:38am Wes:

I just dressed up like a boring white middle class office manager today....oh wait....
  9:51am jon:

this is genius!!
  9:51am Robin Williams:

Trick or trout
  9:52am negator:

Has anyone had the 'Devil Whispers'?
  9:52am dei xhrist:

I should have brought a rubber rat to work and given it to people - "I'm someone who gives a rat's ass." Instead, I don't give a rat's ass. But for my halloween party, I dressed up as a spider. A thexy thpider complete with baby doll with fly wings and a wine bottle sewn in to its body, so I could twist off the head and drink its blooooooooood.
  10:01am Wes:

The Shining!!!!
  10:01am M.T. Set:

Since Irwin won't do it later today, how about the Shags' "It's Halloween"?
  10:02am vivian:

How about 'Witchcraft' by Book of Love? Or Danny Elfman? Just for the love of god don't play Bauhaus..sheesh...
  10:04am dei xhrist:

Say, Ken, might you have a copy of Allan Sherman's "My Son, the Vampire"? Possibly the worst imitation of Lugosi evah.
  10:04am Tyrone Slothrop:

Isn't that Monster from the Muppets? Is this his solo scat album from the 70s?
  10:06am dei xhrist:

I think I have that album. His version of "Eidelweiss" is the bomb.
  10:09am M.T. Set:

dei xhrist: a.k.a. the trheme from "Old Mother Reilly Meets Bela Lugosi", the movie that didn't cure Lugosi's morphine habit, but at least made it make sense....
  10:11am Jessica:

Good God. This is too over the top.
  10:12am Listener Dave:

The voice Ken is doing sounds just like Marshie from the Homestar Runner cartoons. I wonder if he does some voice work for that site.
  10:16am Webhamster Henry:

Scientology == Scare Ontology!
How about "Hell on You" from the 60-second song contest?
  10:17am dei xhrist:

Every time I perform this Jaap Blonk piece, it's a hit. I heart Jaap and almost asked him to sign a part of my anatomy. But I like to bathe.
  10:19am dave from baltimore:

good morning Ken! Good morning Everyone in WFMU listening land! best Haloween eve wishes to you!
  10:21am Ken:

Happy Halloween everybody! Best Holy Day Ever.
  10:26am dave from baltimore:

  10:26am EdLizard:

What providence, your show on the 31st.
  10:27am nh_dave:

I feel like I am listening to a more loveable version of dum dum :)
  10:28am Timmay:

I'm scaring my co-worker.... I love WFMU
  10:30am Yammit:

My co-worker is scaring me....I hate my job
  10:32am John from Oslo:

Death metal dental hygiene takes another plunge in the land of the torched churches tonight. Any chance of hearing Anthon and his organ today Ken? Happy Halloween from Norway.
  10:34am Listener James from Westwood:

nh_dave: Conjures up memories of Bill Zebub's old Vortex of Chaos show. Can Theater of Tragedy be far behind?
  10:35am Wes:

My co-workers constantly scare me with their mindless antics and braindead blabbermouthing.....the day of the living dead! zombies!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
  10:37am Timmay:

I'm gonna grab a sword and stalk
  10:37am listener pumpkin:

I second Wes: including hysteria, illiteracy, irrationality...everyday is Halloween at my job.
  10:38am The AntiCrosst:

O Fortuna! O impending doom.
  10:43am pat:

JEEZus, nobody beats Hasil Adkins for weirdness...
  10:44am dei xhrist:

NH dave - I'm tuned in from Hampton NH, based in Manchester. Where are you?
  10:48am dave from baltimore:

something i remember hearing on wfmu at some point.. hopelessy asking for a track id? death metalish song with a growly scary voice saying: "damn you Robin Williams!!!" may have been the dj combining records... or maybe i just misheard it

it was funny though
  10:49am nh_dave:

I am in Atkinson and oddly enough spend lots of time up in North Hampton (boss lives there and I fix my cars up at his place).

There is at least one other NH person who listens to Ken that I know of.

I do love the little chanting demons as bed music Ken.

More evil chanting!
  10:50am Bryant:

Stop it, Ken -- you're freaking the cats out!
  10:53am dei xhrist:

The real theme of today's show is that most are sing-alongs.
NH Dave, come over to Manchester - myspace.com/monastery_artists - we do a monthly sound series there, and 11/09 it's Nozal Cube from France. This weekend we had Mystic Outbop Review and Blaise Siwula for an underappreciated Zorn like blast.
  10:53am Aaron:

A request if you can find it, Down Bound Train by Chuck Berry or The Boss.
  10:59am Nick the Bard:

Growing up on a New Jersey farm
A pumpkin of many sits in the sun
Aware that Halloween draws ever near
His time of growing is almost done

Soon taken from his patch and brethren
A small child decides to take him home
But what the orange gourd knows not
Is why he has been relived of his dome

The innards scooped out and tossed away
A Jack O' Lantern kit saves his demise
But with one too many improper knife cuts
He becomes a mound of food for the flies
  11:12am T.J.:

Criswell!!! I just watched "Plan 9" last night
  11:18am chuck norris:

i always suspected that nick the bard was ken is verbal disguise
  11:28am NEGATOR:

BEWARE THE 'DEVIL WHISPERS'!
  11:31am FCUNMYS:

EVIL SCIENTIST! BOO! EVIL SCIENTIST! BOO!
  11:35am John from Oslo:

Sanguis bibimus
Corpus edimus
Tolle corpus satani
Ave versus cristus
Ave satani

Or that bag of snickers-bars... please?
  11:37am dei xhrist:

I'm trying to come up with a good joke about Devil Whisperers - akin to horse- or dog-whisperers, but now all I can think about are Snickers.
  11:38am FCUNMYS:

Zatumba should gargle twice a day with Listerine and see a doctor to get a prescription for a good decongestant. Whip and guttural chanting optional.
  11:42am EdLizard de Baltimore:

  11:42am fcolon:

Apologies! Is it Zatumba, Satano, or Satanno with two Ns? And keep all produce away from Ken. He seems to be hitting the hemlock too hard.
  11:47am Ken:

It is Zatumba. Satano. Boog Boog. Natchung. Watrecress. Arugula.
  11:49am jonathan:

CELERY!!!!!!!!
  11:50am Listener James from Westwood:

YES! I was trying to request this Blood Axis cut but couldn't recall the exact title.
  11:57am John L:

This classical theme in the Blood Axis is something like Prokofiev isn't it? 'Course he doesn't repeat it like they do.

Cheers,

Lipwak
(I haven't checked out this playlist comment biz in awhile and THIS it how it should be done, with the comments next to the playlist! Just what I had in mind when I set up the Yahoo group, which doesn't offer chat anymore. Bravo, Mr Garson!)
  11:59am fcunmys:

It's spelled watercress. You have been hitting the hemlock. Happy Hallows Eve!
  12:57am boil:

Love your show.
"Its" is possessive. "It's" means "It is". Get it straight, manager boy, or no one else will.
