Hatch! What was that Pieces of Peace?

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 9:21am From: Lang

It's not on Numero ,but seems very much like something that should be on Numero...what year is it 70's?

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 9:27am From: north guinea hills

hmmm.., the record fair is coming up, it means something is going to happen that will leave me broke. i've been up here for 7 years, and when every record fair rolls around, i'm always broke. grimble grumble!

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 9:35am From: robert

wow! wing tip sloat. i had this on a demo tape from the band that I got after seeing them in boston in the late 80's/early 90's. Lots of good songs on by them. Thanks

Digging the show as always and happy to hear you playing a track from the swell new Tabu Ley anthology!

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:21am From: Lang

you could always go as coffee and a donut

hi

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:22am From: north guinea hills

hmmm...., for couples, how about mummified conjoined twins?

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:23am From: dei xhrist

One of you can put a Barbie or doll house bed on your head and pretend you're the monster under the bed; the other can wear jammies, preferably the footie pajamas.

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:24am From: Bryant

Seen Stuart Gordon's DAGON? How about DUST DEVIL?

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:25am From: Briezy

Susperia was pretty creepy, some creepy ballet dancers. I really wanna see Dead Ringers but cannot find.

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:25am From: dei xhrist

my gosh, someone else who's seen Dagon! The love story where the monster is the hero.

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:25am From: Pamela

I have a temp in here today. She was getting something out of a file here and asked what I was listening to - that she really liked the song. So, I explained it all, and then looked for the particular artist and of course it happened to be Psychadelic Horseshit. !So goes my professional demeanor... :-)

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:25am From: Hatch

I would love to be mummified conjoined twins. Don't think my lady friend will be into that, though.

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:26am From: Hatch

I wasn't that into Dust Devil. Is Dagon better than From Beyond?

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:27am From: Loomis

Sleepaway Camp 1 & 2 are great! Also, Argento's Phenomena a.k.a. Creepers is awesome.

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:30am From: Matt

Perhaps you can be Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra?

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:34am From: jason

more jams like tivol

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:37am From: efd

would a record-size hammerhead shark be 12" square?

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:39am From: dei xhrist

Dagon is the best Lovecraft film adaptation I've seen. Side note, one year I dressed up as Miss Innsmouth 1967 - I had a beehive, prom dress, beauty contestant ribbon, and gills.

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:39am From: Lang

I second the Lee Hazelwood/Nancy idea

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:42am From: eric

Hey, you just mentioned an upcoming show by Effi Briest--I just finished watching the movie last night--Fassbinder's amazing adaptation of Fontane's amazing novel. So... since I'm stuck at the office (in chicago) would you perchance be willing to play a track by this band, so we all can learn what a band sounds like who names themselves after a novel that's been generously, though perhaps none too aptly, termed the german "Anna Karenina"? Thanks!

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:44am From: Hatch

It could also be a 7" or 10" hammerhead, Evan.

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 10:46am From: north guinea hills

i caught a baby 8" hammerhead off the coast of florida/georgia saturday

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 11:14am From: Lang

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 11:15am From: maggie

i don't know what you're saying about our halloween costumes on the airwaves, but can't we just to stick to the original plan of conjoined coffee donut mummy twins?

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 11:18am From: north guinea hills

maggie, that's and excellent yummy mummy costume!

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 11:19am From: Lang

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 11:27am From: north guinea hills

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 11:31am From: kwhitehead

Hey Hatch: What's that great track you played in the background during your last break? Is it Yes? It slays me every week.

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 11:33am From: Hatch

It's an instrumental track by the Chilean psych band Los Blops.

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 11:46am From: Visual

this Julia Kent track could be an excellent soundtrack for a movie. really.

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 11:48am From: peaches

"Dorval" is awesome - very tense French spy love triangle movie, without being sappy

Tue Oct. 16, 2007 11:55am From: fighttheTrueJCityStyle
