Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:24am From: Wes

The air is getting crisp and cool again, fall is coming, the morning's are beautiful, energy is up, spirits are high, love is in the air, amazing things have good chances of happening.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:24am From: Lang

You forgot the Misfits Hatch, apple picking, horror films and the MISFITS!

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:26am From: The Framinator

I'm liking the new frame format.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:28am From: Hatch

Of course, the Misfits! By the way I'm running pretty low on decent horror films to watch this year, really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Anybody got any good recommendations?

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:32am From: viagra

take it from me 53 is too old

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:35am From: Hatch

Is that the title of a horror film?

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:37am From: Dickdong

<take it from me 53 is too old>
Ba gum lad, tha's nowt but a nipper.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:40am From: Lang

I have Bloody Mama and Bucket of Blood ( Corman 1959) in the queue also Bloody Judge (Franco 1973).
I will let you know how they are

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:48am From: jonathan

i just saw queen of blood with dennis hopper. not scary, but entertaining. have you seen blue sunshine? oh, and images by robert altman. 70's weirdness!

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:53am From: TOUSSAINT

GREETINGS FROM L.A. YOU ALL! LOVING THE MIX DUDE!

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:55am From: Hatch

Images, I love. Not horror but very creepy. Haven't seen the other two, thanks!

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:55am From: Melissa

Go Goblin, Go! Nice new layout too.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:55am From: Shad

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:57am From: JJZ

I always enjoy Goblin.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 9:59am From: Lang

Night Tide w/ a VERY young Dennis Hopper is worth seeing, not horror but very bizarre and enjoyable.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:01am From: Shad

Samhain - November Comin Fire, something?

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:05am From: jonathan

zombie by fulci is a classic. never in a film have i seen a zombie fight with a real shark while a topless woman swims around. great soundtrack too.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:07am From: Hatch

I'm pretty sure Zombi is actually Dawn Of The Dead, the Fulci film is Zombi 2 and yes it is pretty radical.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:11am From: Lang

Hatch did you ever see SLITHER. It was awesome, a return to the Sam Raimi/ Cemetery Man genre.....also I trust you have seen the Coffin Joe series.......

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:19am From: Shad

good films Lang. not a big fan of the Coffin Joe series myself but I like the other two. Hatch needs to watch some Bava films like Bloody Sunday & Black Sabbath. those are great for cold autumn days like today.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:20am From: Lang

You have to get Killer Nun (1978) w/ Anita Ekberg in the title role. Also I really enjoyed Lizard in a Woman's Skin (1971).
have you seen 2LDK- 2 tokyo girls go from bickering roomates to trying to kill each other- awesome. Not horror, uh
Ok....sorry am I hogging the comments?

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:22am From: Lang

Shad!!
I was just gonna bring up Bloody Sunday! SO GREAT!!! Any early Barbara Steele is gonna be great, I have The Faceless Monster (1965) on the way!

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:22am From: lydia

Is this Cedric Brooks, with the sort of Haitian sounding horns? Loving it!!!

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:26am From: Hatch

I am not a huge Bava fan, I find his films a bit boring. But thanks for the other ideas. Hog away!

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:35am From: jonathan

deep red is another good one.
living dead girl and other jean rollin flicks are strange and creepy. have you seen tourist trap?

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:45am From: Like Mupica

hey Hatch: you are so right to dub Bob W the king of fill-ins on WFMU. In fact I heard that since he has become the go-to guy for WFMU fillin s that he is legally changing his name to "BOB WFMU" - seriously!

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:46am From: Hatch

Tourist Trap is on my list. I will have to watch that one next...

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:46am From: Cecile

Wow, Animal Collective are really channelling Todd Rundgren here, doncha think?

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:47am From: Hatch

I hadn't though of that, but it's an apt comparison. Who doesn't like Todd Rundgren?

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:48am From: Cecile

I mean!

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 10:48am From: dawn

broadcast + september sun = sigh

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:02am From: Wes

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:06am From: dawn

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:08am From: Brandon

I consider I Heart Huckabees to be a horror film.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:09am From: Blob W.

Don't listen to that Mupica guy. He's still drunk from last night.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:25am From: kwhitehead

Hatch: You been shopping at Dusty Groove again?

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:25am From: Loner

The test of the EBS is my favorite part of the show.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:27am From: Hatch

Kwhitehead, I'm entirely unsure what to make of that question. Do you mean to imply that today's show is more "dusty" than usual?

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:30am From: kwhitehead

Hatch: Well...in a way yes, but that's not a bad thing. I just so happened to be doing some shopping on DG's website while listening to your show and came across both the Genesis CD and the With the sun in My Eyes comp.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:31am From: Hatch

I don't think I've ever actually ordered from Dusty Groove, but they are a great shop indeed.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:32am From: Ann Arbor Doug

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:46am From: Matt

Seriously, I liked that Cedric Brooks track.

Tue Sep. 18, 2007 11:53am From: dave in vermont
