I began to start to listen to lyrics a few months ago. But most of the time I just can't hear them or understand them (bad hearing) and when I do or when they print a lyrics sheet they make me wanna puke so I just play some body music instead mostly. The body music hopefully has a girl singing over it in a sweet voice and she sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111 ;):):);))

September 3, 2007: I'm Speaking for You, You're Spoken For
QUESTION OF THE WEEK: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LANGUAGE TO SPEAK AND WHY. THAT'S THE QUESTION. TALK ABOUT IT IN THE COMMENTS OK? THAT'S THE POINT. MINE IS SPANISH BECAUSE I CAN SPEAK IT AND THE PEOPLE WHO SPEAK IT ARE GENERALLY AS SHORT OR SHORTER THAN ME AND I ENJOY THEIR WAY OF LIFE. MORESO THAN PEOPLE WHO SPEAK OTHER LANGUAGES AT THE VERY LEAST.

Trent!!! I wonder why I always find a net cafe in Southeast Asia with Winamp on Mondays during your show, but pretty much only on Mondays during your show! The other DJs are going to get jealous! It's very strange. I'm in Oudomxai, Laos right now. Getting ready to cross the land border into China. Woo hoo! Then in two weeks, I finally come home to New Joisey! Bigger WOO HOO! (I miss my bed.)
Alizee -- woah! Yowza is right!

Oh and I forgot to mention that my favorite language to speak (besides English obviously because I'm so incredibly skilled at it) right now is Lao, because I can speak about 50 words of Lao, and I'm very impressed with myself for learning that much. And the Lao are impressed too. But now I have to learn some Mandarin and I'm daunted! Waaa!

I speak a little bit of german, to my ears, being used to speaking english, it always sounds a bit like a comedy language, which is kind of wrong, but it does. Somebody once told me that germans only speak german when english people are in earshot. or was that welsh people..... p.s. like the picture of Carly Simon but please please never play that song again as on another day I might not be feeling so strong and just shoot myself in the head.

I went back up north for a short vacation (north being Lake Placid NY) and all the biliingual directions on products are in CANADIAN, not spanish like down here, and esp. down south. I'd love to learn spanish, but having grown up in the great white north, the canadian was so much easier to understand. Je suis ouisoux du neige. Chicks in skisuits are hot. Especially in late april topless skiing. Srius.
When global warming gets too sticky, I'm moving to Montreal. Bientot!

My favorite language is English. I speak French (lived in France for 21 years), German (born in Germany, German/Austrian parents), and some Spanish, but I always feel like I'm not myself when I speak those.

erik - do you feel like English is kind of like, the world language? the language of globetrotters and generally fine people in general? I have run into similar situations, people liking to speak english even though they are from other countries. like these austrians in bolivia. they loved to speak spanish and austrian but english, wow, english was something they were happy to speak.
jack - no, why in the world would you say some shit like that?!?!?
leland - no offense, but I've always thought Canada is infinitely more boring then everything south of the border. not that i don't want to go to canada. i've heard it's clean and shit. and i don't like to ski or do snow sports (you have to get up and like put on a million layers of gear? give me a break) but i do like snow.
james - thanks for hearing me out on that one. fuck that guy for real!
ike - HTF do you manage to be out there for so long???
oh also james that's not actually carly simon. it's mariah carey. but you're welcome and i will consider your request whenever i'm planning / not planning to play Ms. Simon in future broadcasts.
