FANTASTIC: My first hearing of this podcast! I enjoy the music, machines, recording techniques, the whole works. Haven't looked much at the site, but do you (or could you) give a bit of info about the phonos, needles, transfer & other techniques you use to reproduce this music? Some of this doesn't sound like a simple mike-to-horn reproduction on your part. No problem either way, just curious. Thank you.

How funny is the first track on this show, where, twice, the disc slows down and needs a little nudge. try doing that with a CD, kids. I once heard a player-piano recording, where the fellow had to pump the pedals to make the music. i guess he forgot his wheaties, because, near the end of the song, he was clearly gassed. All part of the experience, for sure.
