This program features three tracks each week, culled from the endless barrage of independent 45s that were released throughout the 1990s. A shameless re-visitation of those halcyon days when mailorder and photocopied fanzines ruled the school.

1. Herndon, VA is a sleepy village that used to be in the middle of horse farms and is now surrounded by planned cul-de-sacs. Nothing interesting should ever have emerged from there. 2. One member of Sexy Milkshake went on to Blast Off Country Style, but the band otherwise had no direct Teenbeat connections. 3. How could you leave out the classic Dan Aykroyd "Spies Like Us" reference when playing "Soul Finger"?

Wait, wait, wait... I am totally flummoxed by your use of the word "classic" in the same sentence as a reference to "Spies Like Us". Please explain...

In the annals of Cold War film humor, "Spies Like Us" is truly a classic. (It may also be the only real Cold War comedy, but that's another story entirely.)

You know, "Red Dawn" was kind of a Cold War Comedy too, now that I think about it... (And having seen it again recently, I can verify that it has aged VERY well!)
