Man-on-the-street interviews explore all levels of humanity while hyper-editing promotes renal-retention in this all-analog, cassette-based broadcast. Obscure vinyl. Maudlin genuflection. Down home values.

Doing these playlists is an educational experience for me. I end up checking out all these old songs and bands online and find out lots of information I would have otherwise not known. Like for instance, the fact that this song was co-written by bubblegum kingpin Joey Levine. Or the fact that Tony Orlando sings on this song! Wow! That's an eye-opener. And .... Joan Jett recorded the song for her "Bad Reputation" LP. Suddenly it's a brand new world of Wind.

From America's third LP. Kind of a neglected one that marked a decline in the groups popularity.
After this they would team with George Martin on their next record and have another run of hits.
This is one of those LP's that transports me back to younger days. I'm sure you have similiar records that do that. Ain't it magical?

An ordained minister at age 10. Drummer for The Caddilacs! Then Howard Melvin and the Blue Notes. Then solo : Five consecutive Platinum LPs! Ladies Only concerts! Then in 82 in Philly, Pendergrass was paralyzed in a car accident. He still continues to record. What an amazing voice.

Well. There she blew. Another show in the can. I hope you enjoyed it. I had to throw this baby together quick because of travel plans so ...
Thanks for checking it out. Next week I'll have exciting travel footage from another sojourn into Southwest Iowa. A Memorial Day Wrap-Up.
If you'd like to E-Mail me that would be great. dusty@wfmu.org
You can also call the Dusty Show Answering Machine and leave a message I can play on the show. 201 521 1375. Next weeks show features several recent callers. I have decided to take some time off from the show over the summer. Beyond that I'm not certain. It's been fun though. More on that next week.
Thanks for being great listeners. You inspire me. Always Remember .... CP
