Listen to this show: RealAudio

Artist Track Album Comments
Halleluwah     Poor Michael Karoli - As the guitarist and youngest member of Can , he introduced the other members to the music of The Beatles, only to be overshadowed in death by their own youngest & guitar player. We lost him to cancer just a week before George Harrison.
4/29/48 - 11/17/01
Rest in Peace...

The Asteroid #4 performs live
To fathom what The Asteroid #4 is up to now, we must consider the Stones - had they gone backwards from 1971, and stopped at "Their Satanic Majesties...." Got it? Once upon a time, The Asteroid #4 were the finest practitioners of the "Psychedelphia" sound. Some real lysergic stuff it was! Acid oils dripped from their pores, as they sang songs of Edie Sedgwick, honeybees and Kings & Queens. However, soon they were overtaken by the purist's desire to master The Rock before distorting it with samples & sitars - so back they went: to a time when the boys simply chugged on the low E string & the girls went "yeah!". The haircuts are mod, the hiphuggers have laces where the snaps once were, and the songs are straight outta "Sticky Fingers" - sometimes literally! Here's what they done: (Listen: Real)
