Playlist for The Evan "Funk" Davies Show - July 19, 2005

Tuesdays 11pm - 2am on WFMU 91.1 fm 90.1 fm wfmu.org

Starting with the 70s -- it could be a classic (or obscure) punk rocker, a forgotten disco diva, a long-unheard hit record, or none of these. What happens next depends on what's in the WFMU new bin and whether I remember my records from home. Tune in and find out! You'll even hear a live band once in a while.

this set inaugurates a new feature on the Evan "Funk" Davies show that will be a part of every fill-in that I do between now and September 19: the dB's Countdown. The dB's are one of my all-time favorite bands ever -- I used to go see the dB's all the time in NYC, at all the great long-lost clubs like TR3, Hurrah, Privates, etc., and they were simply amazing. I can't believe that they're reuniting and I'll have a chance to see them again after all these years! And you will too! Monday Sept 19 and Tues Sept 20 at Maxwell's. Be there! I will.
