That happened one other time when I heard bit did not see Stan Getz perform at a restaurant in SF in 1987. But at least I did see Stan enter the restaurant before the show and leave after the show

Speaking of detached heads...I recall watching Eraserhead on late night telly in the UK... probably ITV/ch4...and the network put the last scene reel on ahead of the penultimate reel...and had to stop and replay...on live network t.v.
