What to say to such a person ?? ...Imagination & Expression can't be Taught ...but courting them Creatively can. ...& who would trouble with any of it without the basic Enthusiasm to do it ? Myself ...sonsidereed myself 'Musical' as long as I can remember - but you speak of that band knowing 1,000 Songs - & there's whole continents of being a Musician that I haven't stepped foot in ! ...Even Dennis Diken says he only (relatively) recently learned to Count...

But if you want the tone knob closest, it's as simple as flipping the plate...unless the wires were cut short by the factory.

I have played some below-average Epiphone Les Pauls but I own one which is a solid guitar, I'd almost call it a great players guitar that doesn't break the bank. Good Epiphones are out there, it's hit or miss. Sometimes you just have to swap out the bridge/tailpiece and some of the electronics and it's a solid playing and sounding guitar that doesn't cost thousands. I love the LP juniors too.

Having fingers 1/3rd longer like Hendrix doesn't hurt ...have seen people try & try to play with basic Rhythm - & just struggle. What to say to such a person ?? ...Imagination & Expression can't be Taught ...but courting them Creatively can. ...& who would trouble with any of it without the basic Enthusiasm to do it ? Myself ...sonsidereed myself 'Musical' as long as I can remember - but you speak of that band knowing 1,000 Songs - & there's whole continents of being a Musician that I haven't stepped foot in ! ...Even Dennis Diken says he only (relatively) recently learned to Count...

But if you want the tone knob closest, it's as simple as flipping the plate...unless the wires were cut short by the factory.

I have played some below-average Epiphone Les Pauls but I own one which is a solid guitar, I'd almost call it a great players guitar that doesn't break the bank. Good Epiphones are out there, it's hit or miss. Sometimes you just have to swap out the bridge/tailpiece and some of the electronics and it's a solid playing and sounding guitar that doesn't cost thousands. I love the LP juniors too.
