	♥ 7:48pm psdnyc: THREE FEET HIGH AND RISING was given to me at age 10 and was probably the first rap / hip hop album I ever posessed. What an introduction to the form, in that it was so uniquely its own. I can't wait for iht to hit spotify in a month (dare i say it).

	♥ 7:51pm McGroovey: Funny-- I might be a couple years too young to care about De La Soul. People I knew in college liked them, but they were younger than me. I was aware of De La Soul because those people were talking about them, but I never listened to them on purpose myself. They might have been one of the many current anonymous pop things in the air that I might have heard coming out someone else's stereo at a party, or while in I was shopping somewhere. I myself was listening to noisy guitar music and old time jazz.
