	9:09am dan: @Handy I saw Thursday’s setlist and it seemed to focus a lot on covers. Friday’s show was focused on his own songs. He played my request which was “Now Be Thankful”, a Fairport Convention song from 1970.

	♥ 9:12am Handy Haversack: Yeah, I probably could have done with a Beatles song or two fewer, dan. But "Matty Groves" was a real highlight, absolutely incandescent -- he struck the song right through the heart and pinned it against the wall. Also, several songs off of Rumor and Sigh, which I love. We had never seen him before, and I'm so glad I went for it -- mad props to listener Carmichael for prodding me to actually get the tix. Immediate highlight of the whole year. I requested "Mother Knows Best" and, for Kate, "Meet on the Ledge," but he didn't get to either.

Someone requested a Taylor Swift song and he just threw the yellow scrap of paper on the floor. The highlight of last night was his cover of Phil Ochs’ I Ain’t Marching Anymore. He changed the riff and the vocalization, but it was amazing.
