Cheree July:

Same Kittimu!
  3:14pm
Kittimu:

I've looked at pictures of the crowds there (for fashion inspiration) and everyone always looked so cool
  3:15pm
Cheree July:

Oh hell ya!⚡️🤩

ah let's face it if it was open these days I still wouldn't go, I'm totally not cool enough

thank you debbie i appreciate it
Avatar 3:21pm
Debbie Davenport:

(I really mean it too)
I was alive then but I didn't know about it. I was 6 hours north in Davis CA. I did write a story in school about how I wanted to have a disco in my basement when I grew up. I hope I find that story someday. It's in my garage with old school stuff.
  3:21pm
Kittimu:

Good life goal to have.

Kittimu:

thinking about that "they don't even have [blank]!" meme but it says "they don't even have iron virgin"
  3:27pm
Kittimu:

heyyy stop hating on jobriath :((((
  3:28pm
Kittimu:

I mean, one of the versions of I'm A Man is better than the other. Like I think one of them doesn't even have guitar and is "weaker" sounding, but the one that does is quite good
Avatar 3:29pm
Mr Fab:

Cheree, we just drove past the Wiltern and were like “Celine Dion is playing..?”
Avatar 3:30pm
Debbie Davenport:

Me and a couple friends had breakfast with Rodney at that Denny's.
  3:31pm
Cheree July:

Yeah, I told Don when he was on the Jobriath hate train, "Hey! He's from PA, the state I grew up in!"
  3:32pm
Kittimu:

Like, I don't think "jobriath only has a couple ok songs" is a good enough reason to hate on him. It's junkshop glam! EVERYONE only has a couple ok songs!

Younger daughter likes her platform boots and she's 5'10' to start with
  3:33pm
Kittimu:

I wore platforms as part of my costume to a Halloween party this year, and a couple, like, older friends of the family didn't notice my shoes and kept asking when I got so tall. It was hilarious
Avatar 3:34pm
Mr Fab:

Oh yeah, Li’l Fab ain’t so little in her Elton-worthy red platforms.
  3:34pm
Cheree July:

Mr. Fab, that's how Live Nation rolls...🙄😒😮‍💨
  3:34pm

I had to stand in the back row for the group photo for the first time in my life
Avatar 3:36pm
Mr Fab:

I had a vinyl bootleg of that Santa Monica “Ziggy” show. Did it ever get a legit release?
  3:37pm
Milkies:

This is a little slice of history thrownback
Avatar 3:39pm
Debbie Davenport:

I'm loving this talking!
  3:40pm
Kittimu:

Oh my god can I just say I am so mad when people use the term "glam rock" to refer to the glam *metal* of the 80s. When I'm looking for glam rock stuff online there's always like, Motley Crue in there. People keep joining my glam rock discord server talkin about like, Guns N' Roses, and I had to make a separate category of chat channels to put them all into. Like don't get me wrong I still like it but it's definitely not what I'm here for
  3:41pm
Kittimu:

I'm gonna have to go and call it "glitter rock" to get separated out from them, aren't I. Or, god forbid, "glamour rock".
Avatar 3:42pm
Dandy's Stardust Dive:

I don't you to use the term Glitter Rock.
  3:42pm
Kittimu:

woo yeah t rex 🤩
  3:42pm
Kittimu:

Oh hi dandy
  3:43pm
Cheree July:

Mr. Fab, I had that same Bowie bootleg on cassette myself as a Y2K teen. No, I don't think it got a legit release.😫
Avatar 3:43pm
Dandy's Stardust Dive:

Hi, I ment I told you.
Avatar 3:43pm
Debbie Davenport:

I have been frustrated about the same thing Kittimu. When I moved in with Gordon in 97 he said you sure like Glam and I said FUCK YOU! I hate that shit!
  3:44pm
Milkies:

I remember Glitter Rock from the Sid & Marty Krofft show Electro Woman & Dynagirl
  3:44pm
Kittimu:

I wish I was influential enough to get the people of the site tumblr to start tagging their stuff as "glitter rock" so we can have our own content tag. Oh well. Gotta claw my way to the top I suppose.
  3:45pm
Cheree July:

Milkies, Don made a video of that! It's on his IG!😆😂
