The HBR garage bands records are so fun and interesting.
Avatar 🥁 10:19pm
Kris Holmes:

Agree with that HBR garage sentiment
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:20pm
WR:

Interest how the The Furys vocalist goes very much for Mose Allison vocal inflections. Curious what he sounded like on other tunes.
Avatar 🥁 10:21pm
Kris Holmes:

The flip is an instrumental so I doubt we'll ever know

What is the instrument doing the part where the Mysterions used an organ?
Avatar 🥁 10:25pm
WLSClark:

Woe! Cool to hear this version. Writer Jim Peterik is a buddy of mine. So cool! He just turned 71 last week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26pm
Matt from New Orleans:

This version of a song I can’t stand is still not one I’d choose to listen to but I like it better.
Avatar 🥁 10:26pm
Kris Holmes:

I'd have to check the liner notes on the LP which is filed away but it's either a different type of organ or an accordion.
Avatar 🥁 10:28pm
Kris Holmes:

Guitar break on that Vehicle is a scorcher
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28pm
Matt from New Orleans:

The vocalist of Ides of March just reminds me too much of David Clayton Thomas who is my kryptonite
Avatar 🥁 10:29pm

Thank you Kris, but it's not important.. thought someone listening might know.

Just looked on the LP shelf, it's an "Electric Accordion"

I don't know if Joe Q & Free Soul are incredibly great or this is just the song that I need right now.

Candy, I mentioned today that it was my fave song by her. Check out my download I sent if you get a chance. LOTS of great video from Lloyd Thaxton days.

Matt, Jim does sound like Clayton-Thomas, but for me, a good thing! That song is way overplayed, but still great for me.

Too bad Queen Ida never recorded a 45
Avatar 🥁 10:54pm

Was in local record store this week and could not believe prices! $9 about min for basic LPs and new ones at Barnes & Noble $35? Amazing!
I remember I was upset in mid-70's paying 6.95 for Lps when they were 3.98 just a few years before.
