Listening to these songs and it strikes me how genuinely weird they are, and I mean that in a good way. Lyrical content, instruments utilized, studio/recording techniques…totally bizarre. Do people not enjoy getting weird anymore? I love this stuff! I mean, who writes pop tunes about gingerbread men nowadays?
