My Mom was really into the "hang ten" feet motif, so while he was at work one day she made all these red vinyl contact paper feet & had them going from the base of the tailgate, up over the roof & onto the hood. Had a big foot for the gas pedal too. This was when we lived in Garfield,NJ. Once my Dad was driving down High Point Mountain (highest point in NJ) on Rt. 23N headed to Montague,NJ when the brakes went out. Luckily he managed to get the car down the winding mountain road, past a gas station & shopping center using only the emergency brake & finally stopping the car by riding a guardrail with the right side of the car.

My Mom was really into the "hang ten" feet motif, so while he was at work one day she made all these red vinyl contact paper feet & had them going from the base of the tailgate, up over the roof & onto the hood. Had a big foot for the gas pedal too. This was when we lived in Garfield,NJ. Once my Dad was driving down High Point Mountain (highest point in NJ) on Rt. 23N headed to Montague,NJ when the brakes went out. Luckily he managed to get the car down the winding mountain road, past a gas station & shopping center using only the emergency brake & finally stopping the car by riding a guardrail with the right side of the car.
