In the past I've been able to watch the very plane in which a family member is flying pass by our backyard based on the real-time placement of Flightradar24.

	11:18pm Dean: I think it's global, but I've never had the opportunity to test that. The trick is to seek your flight right around when it's about to embark. Otherwise, it only lists the schedules. As the actual flight time approaches, you can view the airplane "on the map," which then tracks its progress. I only work with the free version, which requires refreshing now and then after a time-out, but you can pay for premium access.

As the actual flight time approaches, you can view the airplane "on the map," which then tracks its progress. I only work with the free version, which requires refreshing now and then after a time-out, but you can pay for premium access.
