@JetBoy - Actually, I think the opposite. It seems like they've taken a pretty humble approach to life and their music. It seems like they've been taking it steady but slow and low minus the massive ego believe it or not.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:47pm
prof.fuzz:

@clarke: the measure of a great band is the kind of show they put on in front of a dozen people +/-... One of the greatest rock and roll moments in my life was seeing Hüsker Dü in Houston in 1982/83 at The Island with about 20 in attendance. The Hüskers brought it! And then, handed over instruments to a few folks left in the crowd. Bob on drums; me on bass, and the guitar and mic changing hands repeatedly. We jammed Flipper's "Sex Bomb" for about a half hour until the bar lights came up. Bob told me "You should be in a band." I was seventeen. Fun times.

When I lived in Champaign, IL, the shows I'd go to would be really sparsely attended but the flavor of the minute indie band shows would do quite well. My friend and I joked that when promoters saw us show up that they new they were in for a rough night at the door.

My favorite room clearing was when I saw the Melvins for the first time in the fall of '91. Tee local popular college band opened. The bar was packed for them probably around 200 people. After the Melvins first song, there was about 20 people.

Each person has an individual, separate identity, a world unto themselves. They can perceive things more clearly. Your honesty and how it relates to the depth of your talent is tried. Didn't I complain a week or two about another new Sarah Shook song that also had autotune on it? Well, I hereby make and possibly repeat that complaint.

I've loved her records in the past.

Slaw is VERY subjective (like Aerosmith, I guess) but I'll put in a plug for the spicy slaw at Couch's Barbecue in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Their bbq is sliced smoked hams. No place quite like it.
