It's always great to get to do that in a non-weird situation, unlike a concert, where you're afraid of coming off like a stalker. I mean, I DO stalk my faves, but I don't want to come off like that.

	🥁 ♥ 8:40pm doctorjazz: I took my older daughter to see Sex Mob at the old City Winery-generally a fairly safe group to see for the non-jazz-obsessed. That night they had Nels and John Modesky sit in. Steve Bernstein just praised Nels to the sky, and basically turned him loose, electronics and all, and the band followed. They played a great, noisy, skronky set (but my daughter was NOT amused or entertained...)

That night they had Nels and John Modesky sit in. Steve Bernstein just praised Nels to the sky, and basically turned him loose, electronics and all, and the band followed. They played a great, noisy, skronky set (but my daughter was NOT amused or entertained...)
