speaking of turbans, my ex father in law, who was indian, used speak disparagingly about sikhs and would make jokes about them, so i made up a joke about sikhs to humor him. it went like this... did you hear about the sikhs that went to a funeral in egypt? no? well they tried to set the mummy on fire.
mind you i have nothing against sikhs, the joke was a pure formality to humor my father in law, but he tried to get me in trouble with other indians in his accounting firm where i was working for him. it was ok for him to make jokes but not whitey me.
