G'Afternoon to you, headcleaner, Robert, Sylvia, annie and Ian! Robert, that is indeed a picture of me with a mask on at that WQXR session. New York Public Radio is even more nuts about testing and mask wearing. It's more because about 1/3 of our staff has come down with Covid! I've continued to remain healthy, knock wood.

That Frisell/Lovano/Motian band was extraordinary (got to see the trio, never the full Quintet version). The Motian On Broadway albums are by the same band (except 1 last one, of I remember correctly, issued quite a while after the original series), and are terrific!

Seen Large a few times with Nels, and with his own band (all pre lockdown, except the New Masada show, which was amazing. (I saw old Masada and New Masada-the original was pretty much 4 players on a level playing field (Dave Douglass, Joey Baron, Greg Cohen, all monsters). The New Masada is just as amazing, but Zorn very clearly is in charge, conducting, assigning solos).
