really like this Natalia Beylis...checked her bandcamp for this and it says: "'Variations on a Sewing Machine' was recorded using a contact mic, Singer MCPK 5802C and a Harley Benton mini looper pedal. The recordings are not processed through electronics allowing the sounds of the Singer to ring true to life. Unfortunately, this may have been the Singer MCPK 5802C's final outing as the machine caught fire during the recording process."

the band Lankum did a virtual live show at a theater in dublin at some point in 2020 and had an intermission where the camera wandered around the theater—backstage there were a few minutes of Natasha Beylis playing the sewing machine. It was beautiful and I’m glad there’s a full release
