For me, in Oregon, it wasn't Christmas until the holiday themed Tom Peterson's commercials came on. (He sold home appliances in PDX.) Tom's commercials were ridiculous and great, and always featured some holiday music in the background. I found a bunch a few years ago on YouTube.

I was always blown away that there were four (or more!) characters, and there were just two of them doing the voices. And often they would improvise, too! So wild.

I remember when Don Joyce did a whole show of Bob and Ray I felt vindicated in liking them.
