Most of these have sparse instrumentation. Drums mixed up front, but not played loud. The instruments used to paint the sound picture. Only playing when needed. Not musicians playing a tune. Small combo orchestration.

Città Notte is a tremendous LP from Macchi, very of a piece with his longer form avant-garde composition albums on the Gemelli label but a bit more listenable, so to speak. Hard to pick just one track but time made it a necessity. Will return to it for more someday

i decided to take a break from wrestling with something but now realise i might be able to get help, possibly, from one of you more experienced collectors... (i've collected records, but never considered myself a "record collector" because i never knew the technical aspects of it)
...do any of y'all know how to determine if a record is an acetate?
obviously it's heavier than average... this one is heavy but not necessarily too heavy to be vinyl.
...it has just one hole. the back is textured -"columbia" (etc) ...
