	♥ 3:26pm Paper Kosmonaut: What bothers me a little is that almost all reviews I read are going on about the fact that this looks like a much sweeter ending of The Beatles' story than MLH's film. But. It Wasn't. The. End. Because. After. These. Sessions. They. Still. Made. Abbey. Road. And that is such a great album.

	♥ 3:27pm Becky Ebenkamp: I think the final result was the best. When Paul said he wanted to do something sneaky like play at Parliament, it had that kind of effect. And they were actually able to play quite a few songs.

	♥ 3:30pm Becky Ebenkamp: I think both films end on a positive note. Let it Be shows the drama and tension and then the happy ending on the roof. I loved Get Back for the beautiful restoration and extra intel on record making and filmmaking.

	♥ 3:35pm Paper Kosmonaut: The PJ series didn't really "end". I was hoping for a text on screen like " The Beatles didn't really like the first mixes of the recordings. They set out and went back into the studio later that year and they recorded another album, called Abbey Road. The Get Back sessions were sent to Phil Spector who messed them up even more, far beyond the raw live recordings the Beatles originally intended. When "Let it be was released, The Beatles already split up. For good."

Many years later I came to know Stephen Malkmus did covers of a lot of the songs such "Ballad of a thin man". That I thought was weird too. I think Malkmus was not a big Dylan fan initially.

	♥ 3:58pm Becky Ebenkamp: GG: The Herb doc covered a lot of the points I wanted to make. This second one sounds like it will handle the rest—and drive then deeper. When Herb & Jerry left A&M, it was the end of the music business as we knew it. An artist and a businessman running a label. Herb cared about the musicians and believed in building long-term careers. The whole industry started tanking on a similar track to the label.

	♥ 3:26pm Paper Kosmonaut: What bothers me a little is that almost all reviews I read are going on about the fact that this looks like a much sweeter ending of The Beatles' story than MLH's film. But. It Wasn't. The. End. Because. After. These. Sessions. They. Still. Made. Abbey. Road. And that is such a great album.

They set out and went back into the studio later that year and they recorded another album, called Abbey Road. The Get Back sessions were sent to Phil Spector who messed them up even more, far beyond the raw live recordings the Beatles originally intended. When "Let it be was released, The Beatles already split up. For good."

Many years later I came to know Stephen Malkmus did covers of a lot of the songs such "Ballad of a thin man". That I thought was weird too. I think Malkmus was not a big Dylan fan initially.

	♥ 3:58pm Becky Ebenkamp: GG: The Herb doc covered a lot of the points I wanted to make. This second one sounds like it will handle the rest—and drive then deeper. When Herb & Jerry left A&M, it was the end of the music business as we knew it. An artist and a businessman running a label. Herb cared about the musicians and believed in building long-term careers. The whole industry started tanking on a similar track to the label.
