autocorrect on here & the playlist is the worst

Then I realized that I got the Shaft director and photographer confused with Gordon Staples 🤦‍♂️ I’ll sit here quietly for a bit.

That's not like you Matt!! I rely on you for all the accuracy I don't have!!

Candy-O'67:

Hey, Kris. I just thought about something. Maybe you can guide me to someone who can take a look at my receiver and my speakers. Last week I was putting in a CD that Crypt Digger made for me (he DJ's on some of the streams sometimes). Well, it wasn't working and I turned it up in case I just couldn't hear it. He actually sent me two and neither seemed to work. So, I tried putting in another CD and that one worked and it popped really loud and I immediately turned down the volume, but now it seems something is wrong with the connection. You can still hear it, but it's like there's no bass left or something. My TV, my record player, and my CD player are all connected into the receiver. My speakers are really good '70's speakers, too. I don't think I blew them. I think it's something to do with the connection. You know anyone over here that could take a look at my stuff or somewhere I can take it to? Any suggestions??

Yay, William Bell! I met him the last show he played at Antone's a few months before the pandemic. He put on an incredible show and was so nice! He signed my record I bought, too
Avatar 🥁 10:18pm
Kris Holmes:

So there is no bass on anything or just the CD player?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19pm
Matt from New Orleans:

Is the turntable playing ok?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:20pm
Candy-O'67:

They all play ok. It's just the sound is whacked now, not loud, but not totally gone. It's when I play anything. I've been messing with the controls, too, trying to figure it out. No luck
Avatar 🥁 10:20pm
Kris Holmes:

Ok, it's either a blown speaker or something in the circuit of the receiver
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:21pm
Candy-O'67:

It's both of the speakers, though. They sound the same. I think it's circuit of the receiver
Avatar 🥁 10:22pm
Kris Holmes:

Yeah, unlikely you blew both speakers, but not impossible
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:22pm
Candy-O'67:

I had something similar happen like this before and I think it was the receiver. Something had to be changed and I can't figure it out. I've tried and tried
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23pm
Matt from New Orleans:

Still 45s from the convention?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:23pm
Candy-O'67:

It's not like really quiet, though. It's weird. It's like no bass mostly now, but way softer. These speakers can get very loud very easily. It's like that's totally gone, but like I said, something like this happened before and it didn't blow the speakers. It had to do with the receiver
Avatar 🥁 10:23pm
Kris Holmes:

Yes Matt
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm
Matt from New Orleans:

Could be the amp in the receiver gave out
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:25pm
WR:

Hi Eric, Matt, Candy.

That Wes Montgomery is better than I remembered.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:27pm

Maybe that's it, Matt. I need someone to come check it out
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27pm

I don’t get its enduring appeal on the Northern Soul circuit. I like the uptempo aspects of it but the lyrics aren’t great.
