Last October Hell-raiser for Sounds---just 20 clams away from hitting that goal (nudge nudge hint hint) :)
Avatar 12:03pm
Count Fab:

HELL-o! i'm happy to say that Li'l Fab loves reruns of vintage Addams Family as much as the new movies. Maybe even more. Parenting win!

hiya Babs!

Count Fabula:

A more obvious DJ would have picked Siouxsie and The Banshees' "Halloween." But Ursula don't play dat.
Avatar 12:14pm
Ursula1000:

oooh but Halloween from The Banshees is THE JAM! super close--pretty much anything off Juju is divine!
Avatar 12:15pm
Ursula1000:

...........anticipation

Rich in Washington:

I love Siouxsie's Halloween! Everything by them in that era immediately makes me think of Fall weather, leaves turning. It may also be due to McGeogh's wonderful spooky guitar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm
DJ Babs:

Agreed, it's my favourite...it's being pulled in and out of my playlist for tonight, LOL. TWO HOURS IS NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR ALL THE SONGS
Avatar 12:16pm
Ursula1000:

yeah Rich, that line up....!
Avatar 12:19pm
Count Fabula:

This whole set is quite nostalgic. Haven't heard this one in a while. Cant think of too many songs with "Parthenogenesis" in the lyrics.
Avatar 12:20pm
Ursula1000:

Shriekback's catalog is pretty interesting
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm
Rich in Washington:

Right Babs! It's so challenging listening to other people's great halloween shows while trying to pick my own stuff out. I am totally overwhelmed and also don't want any ensuing shows to influence what I pick out. It's the exquisite torture of the Halloween season for DJs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm
DJ Babs:

It really is. Cripes, I'm already prepping the Holiday special!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm
Rich in Washington:

My brother snuck me in to see Phantasm at the drive-in in the trunk of his Malibu (a 70s rite of passage if there ever was one) and it absolutely scared the living shit out of me. I had nightmares for days! Still one of my all time fave horror movies.
Avatar 12:28pm
Ursula1000:

crazy! yeah, love that first one--never saw any of the sequels.

Any chance Fred could get talked into making more Fangs recordings?
Avatar 12:37pm
Ursula1000:

Fred's always down for more Halloween shenanigans! Trying to get him for a Xmas show this year---stay tuned......!
Avatar 12:40pm

That'd be great. 🎶 "Fred Schneider is coming...to town..."

Anybody loose a boot?
Avatar 12:51pm
Ursula1000:

right or left Franco?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm
Franco Twinkie:

Right? I dunno, let me check.
Avatar 12:54pm
Count Fabula:

Although i could live a long full life without having to hear "I Ran" again, I like A Flock Of Seagulls THERE I said it!
Avatar 12:56pm
Count Fabula:

Franco, I didn't lose a boot, but George Clinton says I have a loose booty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm
Franco Twinkie:

I do too Count. I never hear I Ran anymore. In hell we don't have heavy rotation of hits from the days of yore.
Avatar 12:59pm
Count Fabula:

Fun-To-Know Fact - Jack Nicholson was a good pal of the Scatman, getting him cast in like 4 of his movies, not just "The Shining."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm
Franco Twinkie:

I don't hear enough Norma Tanega on this Earthly plane.
Avatar 1:00pm
Ursula1000:

ooh cool tidbit Fab! Scatman always kills it
Avatar 1:03pm
Count Fabula:

Don't think i'm not noticing The Stranglers "Waltz in Black" sneaking round here.
Avatar 1:04pm
Ursula1000:

haha yes The Stranglers will get their due at the end of the show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06pm
Franco Twinkie:

This a great cover of an amazing song.

Better get this cleaned up before the wife comes home.

that Shampoo album cover reminds me of what a neighbor down the street did - under a big mock gravestone for "Barbie Roberts" are a bunch of Barbie dolls painted white and made up to look like zombies coming up out of the lawn.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm
Feldy:

Never heard of the Stomach Mouths, great band name. Hey U1K + Spooktactular gang!
Avatar 1:34pm
Ursula1000:

wow that gravestone sounds amazing!
Hey Feld!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm
DJ Babs:

Lol Book of Love might have to come out of tonight's set then! You have excellent taste, Ursuala! ;-)
Avatar 1:43pm
Ursula1000:

Played this on a guitar I saw laying around at a friend's house and my 9 yr old daughter says "that's The Blood right?" and it made me a proud papa.
Avatar 1:44pm
Ursula1000:

aw thanks Babs! My wife has worked w their singer who's now a food stylist!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm
DJ Babs:

No way! That's so cool!
Avatar 1:50pm
Count Fabula:

a "food stylist"? Do they make clothes for food?
Avatar 1:51pm
Ursula1000:

haha exactly Mr Fab!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm
Rich in Washington:

I guess ol' Al has been performing this song live again lately, which is cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm
Rich in Washington:

I may have to make the drive up to Seattle to see Ministry perform A Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste one last time. Bonus: their opener is Melvins.
Avatar 1:54pm
Ursula1000:

I love that he's re embracing this period
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm
Rich in Washington:

back in the day, I thought the more industrial more aggro Ministry and the more Euro-synth dancey Ministry were two separate bands, they were so different.
Avatar 1:57pm
Ursula1000:

I do have a soft spot for that faux British accent
Avatar 1:58pm
Ursula1000:

For Sympathy is a killer synth pop album
Avatar 1:59pm
