There are two kinds of Hopey (In English it is spelled "Hoppy" but in Japanese it is the same. Light and dark Hopey. I drink the dark Hopey because I's got soul!

After the war, refrigeration (ice) was very rare. So, a company made Hopey an a non-alcohoic beer, and the customers started mixing it with Korean Sho-Chu. It tastes like beer sort of. Now, it is considered a very healthy alcoholic drink.
