Just piping in to say I'm delighted to hear of another Mutations fan! For years it was easily my favorite Beck album, but to most of my friends, it was their least favorite. The reasons I loved it seemed to be the exact reasons they didn't care for it.

I was transferred out of production into IT, where I was made the Project Manager and Y2k compliance officer. It was an endless flow of paperwork, as well as taking in work that the department was neither willing nor able to do. Lots of fun!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:24pm
Funky16Corners:

The Y2K stuff was especially pointless.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:25pm

Sea Change is a sad but committed album.

I worked at a newspaper, and I had to send letters to all our vendors to make sure they were Y2K ready, including people like the folks that sold us cleaning rags for the pressroom. Needless to say we didn't get back a lot of responses.

was just listening to jim sullivan UFO, for my first time (!) yesterday, and again this morning because it is so good
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:33pm
Funky16Corners:

Great album, and one of those "lost classics" that really is as good as people say
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm
D Rok:

I know Beck released a new album in 2019. It was hit and miss.
Not sure what he's been doing during the pandemic.

Sea Change is also awesome. I think I just tend to most like his more mellow stuff. Not that I dislike things like Midnight Vultures.

BTW, if I come back on, and have to jump off suddenly, I have a surgical procedure tomorrow and I'm waiting for the hospital to call with my arrival time. Of course, the window for the call falls right in the middle of my show.

Godspeed on the procedure tomorrow Larry. My grandmother had a procedure to replace her pacemaker line today. I've heard she's out and conscious... and loopy on the pain meds!

The Buffalo Springfield box set was such a mind-blower for me. So many box sets are filled with half-baked demo and various takes of released tracks... this box set really shows that the band hit the ground running with so much top-notch material... So much of the unrleased material consists of fully realized superb tracks.
