Went back home the Tuesday after Ida to get the wooden driveway gates that had ripped from their metal frame off the sidewalk, and also to empty the refrig/freezer (very necessary). Except for that 2-hour time back, have been away from home for 4 weeks at noon today (Tuesday before Ida). -- No electric for close to two weeks, and internet (which we need to work) only came back after that. We were planning on an autumn road trip and to visit relatives this fall, and just improvised it after Ida. We're with Mary's son in Nashville since the weekend, and will be in Tuscaloosa tonight, and back in New Orleans by Weds evening. 9 states and about 3000 miles in 29 days.

Went back home the Tuesday after Ida to get the wooden driveway gates that had ripped from their metal frame off the sidewalk, and also to empty the refrig/freezer (very necessary). Except for that 2-hour time back, have been away from home for 4 weeks at noon today (Tuesday before Ida). -- No electric for close to two weeks, and internet (which we need to work) only came back after that. We were planning on an autumn road trip and to visit relatives this fall, and just improvised it after Ida. We're with Mary's son in Nashville since the weekend, and will be in Tuscaloosa tonight, and back in New Orleans by Weds evening. 9 states and about 3000 miles in 29 days.
