Although I prefer the UK Aftermath album over the US edition, I’m a lot more ambivalent about the Stones US releases than, say, the Beatles’ (which I can’t stand).

...also the fact - confirmed by Paul & Keef - that the Beatles & Stones cooperated to stagger their releases in the market. I actually think this makes it harder to judge their progress against each other!

Its so funny u mention that bc Vikki V + I were discussing what RStones choons we were playing bc we were trying not to replicate each other.
Vikki V was definitely going to play "Spider +the Fly", but with 2 hour shows - u run outta time.
Theres a ton of Stones songs I hadnt gotten to nor have I heard on subsequent tribs that I wanted to play. I know I will hit one or 2 of them next week (guessing VV might too?)

Speaking of amazing RStones/EverlyBro tribs (Not counting medson's today and of course Joe B's massive one on Shakin Street today)
But DAVE THE SPAZZ did a killer one - hitting cuts I haven't heard plus also a trib to TOM.T. HALL as well. Incredible-thankfully there's the archives:

Thanks for another fab show, medson! Have a great weekend! Y'all send good vibes for me. I'm gonna attempt to evacuate out of New Orleans tonight. I had to come over here this week unexpectedly. My dog and I drove over. My brother-in-law unexpected passed away. He and my sis were going through a divorce. He had some health issues and it wasn't Covid. If this hurricane isn't too bad, I'll be back next weekend for the funeral. Please pray or send good vibes that I don't hit too much traffic trying to get on the road tonight and find a hotel at least 4 hours out. It's an 8-hour drive back to Austin
