	🚂 ♥ 12:26pm βrian: I haven't had much scotch at all, in the past few years. I recently had a few sips of Laphroaig which I found almost cloyingly sweet. That surprised me.
	♥ 12:31pm fred: @βrian: That's indeed surprising. Though I haven't tasted Laphroaig in a while. Their cask strength was so great it's hard to settle for less (so hard to get now)
	🚂 ♥ 12:33pm Stanley: βrian: yeah, there are many that are sweet tasting but nice if they are balanced by a bit of spice or depth of age. I've missed my whisky get togethers the last year and a half. Drinking it alone at home is only half the fun. Though I did do a society virtual tasting event and sent a tasting pack to my pal, so we could compare. The club is open again but booked out weeks ahead.

Makes for a very wrong way to see things all around. Germans get undeserved guilt and avoid deserved one, others avoid both kinds. Easy way out both ways

	🚂 ♥ 12:33pm Stanley: βrian: yeah, there are many that are sweet tasting but nice if they are balanced by a bit of spice or depth of age. I've missed my whisky get togethers the last year and a half. Drinking it alone at home is only half the fun. Though I did do a society virtual tasting event and sent a tasting pack to my pal, so we could compare. The club is open again but booked out weeks ahead.
