Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from July 23, 2021 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

John Candy was one of three actors selected to play Ignatius P. Reilly in film versions of Confederacy of Dunces (that never made it to production) who died while the film was in development. John Belushi and Chris Farley were the other two.

Anyone have Nick Lowe on speed dial?
Avatar 2:48pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Nick was interviewed on Michael Shelley's (not Todd's Im pretty sure) - & I think he wrote looking @ hippies losing religion (as it were) in the early 70s - half sympathetically but mostly ironically... He said Elvis's version was a surprise. Myself love the tension of form (aggressive) & content (peace-loving) of Elvis's version... The whole Hippie / Punk thing kinda pivots right there...&tc. ?
