In Ribbons is my favorite cos both both Meriel & Ian are there with their voices and songwriting. Both turned to experimental music post-Pale Saints btw.

Still, In Ribbons is my favorite, i love how their voices blend and the songwriting is sooo good. A pity a vinyl of In Ribbons is completely out of my price range. Oh well, early 90s vinyl is madly expensive nowadays.

	♥ 4:28pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000: @4:26 C.S.: well, all of the cool 1994 stuff I have heard after 1994. Dead Can Dance was probably the only contemporary band I was listening to back then.
	♥ 4:28pm HyperDose: I wouldn't worry, Phillippe (spoken by a non-parent haha). Travis and his team do everything by the book. They also have foam pits, so you can get crazy without the risk.
	4:29pm C.S.: The 90s were strange for me. Should have listened to more college radio but didn't have the time. I really didn't like grunge so found myself shunning a lot of music.

No, I am anything but proud of that. And yes, I feel a lot of resentment towards the people who made every school day hell. But I assume there are lots of people who have had it much worse.

	4:33pm C.S.: Yes, very luck. I found WZBC by accident in the 90s but not having online playlists made tracking down artists too difficult. Archives are a blessing too that didn't exist.

	4:35pm C.S.: Words can hurt more than physical harm. I find that I am still dealing with being bullied after all these years. Still an outcast in just about everything I do.

Once I was smoking a ciggie at night like 50 metres from our yard, where there was a school yard, and in the dark two bullies were there, we noticed each other. And then:RUN. I managed to get home and shut the door. They were driving back and forth in front of our door. I had no social life to begin with but that really pissed me off, that I can't even go tour yard, in the middle of nowhere. There's two people in the silent night and they are my bullies (who btw did not even live anywhere near).

As a former bully target I despised him for it

	4:51pm C.S.: I find it helpful not to generalize his followers. From what I have seen, there are many reasons they followed him. It's hard to pin down.

	♥ 4:57pm Ryansterlingvirtue: I guess my frustration comes in seeing my "alternative" friends who I know are straight going to pride like it's just another cool place to show your face. I met with these girls one year one pride day and they were like "We were hanging out getting drunk all day at that place, can't remember the name, the place where they had the riot."
	4:58pm C.S.: There used to be cheesy commercials for this venue whenever they did monster truck racing there. Live at the Worcester Centrum. This Sunday...Sunday...Sunday!!!!

Nut-heads wiping spit on my glasses constantly, some girl calling me "Dirty Diapers" in marching band, etc. Bullying continues there to this day. My nieces transferred to HS in a neighboring town because no one in the administration lifted a finger to stop it. The heck with those people!

Funny thing is I went from being relentlessly bullied to then being tortured at one of those (now defunct) "therapeutic" boarding schools. Life is one crazy ride.

The owner was in bed with the local racetrack which was cozy with the board of ed. No claims of abuse were ever investigated until someone went with a tape recorder and put a whole thing on Reddit.

	5:10pm C.S.: I have questioned how different my life would be had I grown up somewhere else. Was knee-deep in a 14 year battle to save a National Register District that a developer nominated just so he could get historic tax credits...but then he planned to demolish the district later on. I've tried to expose lies and deception but money talks and it's easier for local politicians to throw me under the bus than to stand up for what's right. Just an odd situation. Sadly, I think ignorance can be bliss.

Both socially - just take kids & throw them into this full-time landfill of other kids & harried adults (teachers). As much to relieve parents from actually being in their offsprings' lives as anything else... & educationally - I can see it teaches some basics against all odds - but it does so little to prepare young people for what is actually going to happen to them. & no one gives a shit about you.

Then one day (some time ago) - I was @ a Party with a Queer friend - he's in his cups a bit - & starts flouncing around - sitting on me - nothing serious, you know. & I reacted badly with cliched insults & anger. & I'm like - wait a minute: I'm not Homophobic ! Oh. Aren't you ?! So - like Racism - it's all ignorance & things deeply implanted by programming. The answer is losing the Ignorance - & having some actual experience with other human beings. As human beings. I'm encouraged that the Overton Window on the Programming in Society appears to be shifting. ...Baby hate. Hm. Well - Humans are so complex as individuals & socially. I do think there's a tendency that if you feel threatened - & Ideas & Identity for Humans matter as much there as actual physical threat - you invoke the Differences. Yerknow - yer angry @ a Woman, she's not an Asshole, she's a Bitch. Right ? It really has nothing to do with her being a Woman...

I had no social life to begin with but that really pissed me off, that I can't even go tour yard, in the middle of nowhere. There's two people in the silent night and they are my bullies (who btw did not even live anywhere near).

I've tried to expose lies and deception but money talks and it's easier for local politicians to throw me under the bus than to stand up for what's right. Just an odd situation. Sadly, I think ignorance can be bliss.

This is a really important evolutionary challenge for us - I really do believe. Sexual Liberation is really @ the roots of a lot of our Psychology. Personally - I thot I was all Liberal & tolerant. Then one day (some time ago) - I was @ a Party with a Queer friend - he's in his cups a bit - & starts flouncing around - sitting on me - nothing serious, you know. & I reacted badly with cliched insults & anger. & I'm like - wait a minute: I'm not Homophobic ! Oh. Aren't you ?! So - like Racism - it's all ignorance & things deeply implanted by programming. The answer is losing the Ignorance - & having some actual experience with other human beings. As human beings. I'm encouraged that the Overton Window on the Programming in Society appears to be shifting. ...Baby hate. Hm. Well - Humans are so complex as individuals & socially. I do think there's a tendency that if you feel threatened - & Ideas & Identity for Humans matter as much there as actual physical threat - you invoke the Differences. Yerknow - yer angry @ a Woman, she's not an Asshole, she's a Bitch. Right ? It really has nothing to do with her being a Woman...
