Yes, Paper Kosmonaut:

Hey Candy! That must have been a fantastic trip. for my work I have been describing amateur films from 1950 made by a Dutch farmer who went to the US to see all kinds of agraric innovations. He traveled all around the US, from Pennsylvania via Chicago to San Diego and San Fransisco and back to Niagara Falls. So I have been travelling through the US as well (-; But is must be great to see all that grandeur in real life!

It sure was, PK! I've lived in TX most of my life and this was the first time I've been to the Big Bend area, the high desert there. It was rustic and beautiful! The weather ended up being splendid, as well. We hit it just before the heat sets in for summer!

Candy, I was talking about Golden Earring.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:26pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

But why?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:26pm
Candy-O'67:

Is Rommelmarkt like a flea market in the U.S.?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:26pm
Candy-O'67:

Gotcha, Jan!
Avatar 1:27pm
worldsworstrecords:

Possibly PK... I would suggest that a lot of that could be down to the need to live a double life, to lie to family, friends and the church... that sort of thing. Some of it will be related to overuse of drink and drugs, but there are an awful lot of people in the LGBTQ community with self-image issues who allow themselves to be used and abused by others because they see that as a sign of affection ... a bit like 'battered wives' syndrome
Avatar 1:27pm
Mr Fab:

Wow, the Normaal went from “Warm Leatherette” to THIS? ;)

rommelmarkt is more like: multiple people holding a garage sale together
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:28pm
