They did not tell me that they were laced with marijuana. It was a Sunday afternoon, I was hungry, I ate a couple of these brownies while I was preparing the show.
	♥ 2:14pm Franco Twinkie: Hats!?! I was so high when I saw the movie I thought they were making sandwiches.
	♥ 2:14pm ironybread: "I drive out to Pasadena. The KRLA studios were in the Huntington Hotel in Pasadena. Gorgeous setting, lovely place. I get out there, it’s eight o’clock, I get on the air. Phil Proctor’s a guest, and David Crosby is a guest that evening. They’re out in the lobby waiting to come on. I start to talk about the Mongols. I had been reading about the Mongols, and the fact that the Mongols were monotheists. Just starting a rap on the Mongols. God knows I would rap about anything. I had an eclectic mind. Most of the people I was talking to weren’t reading about the Mongols, so this was interesting. This was like having the shmoozy uncle who also plays groovy music and comes at you from fifty different places in three hours. It was cool, as long as you’re happy.
	2:14pm Buddy Runyan: Careful!
	♥ 2:15pm ironybread: "And all of a sudden the room began to telescope down to a point. (laughs) I had tunnel-vision. I didn’t feel sick in a sense. I said, “Oh my God. There must have been something in those brownies.” So I just got the needle onto the record. I think it was Ravi Shankar. I was doing my own engineering at KRLA for a while. I got it on, and I just collapsed. They carried me out of the studio. Proctor and Crosby did the rest of the show that night. I was gone. Brooke [my girlfriend] took me home, and I recuperated there.
	♥ 2:16pm ironybread: "I felt awful. I felt really unclean. This was very different from KPFK. It was a whole new lifestyle. I was not comfortable with it. It was very commercial. There was a lot of money around. It was just not my cup of tea."
