Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00pm
Gaylord Fields:

Hi, Michael! Just thinking about us seeing Wayne lay a big egg in Vegas!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:01pm

@Joe W - no, but Gary Usher co wrote it and Terry Melcher arranged and produced it

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm

@Michael: The good part was when he brought on the Wayne Newton impersonator to sing "Danke Schoen" and all his squeaky-voice era hits!
  3:16pm

That`s gold, Gaylord.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm

One thing I love about this Hal B. album is how close mic'd his drums are compared to, for example, Spector-esque stuff. You can really hear the detail in his playing!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm
Dennis Diken:

@Nutley Sam - totally! his tubs sounded so damn good. and, of course, he played like no one else!

Michael Shelley:

At that time Wayne's show stated with the 2001 theme - then a huge spaceship landing on stage, then a ramp comes out of the spaceship, and a spaceman walks down the ramp, then there's an explosion - and when the smoke clears guess who is standing where the space man was... (wait for it)... WAYNE NEWTON!

And then he sings Elvis' arrangement of "Promised Land."

At least that's how I remember it.
Avatar 3:30pm
EdwardR:

Nice - this music is fitting my vibe! Definitely putting Sebastian on my list. Have you heard The Troggs' version of Good Vibrations? thought it might amuse you.
