I posted this on FB a few weeks ago but I had an interesting brush w Jimmy Cauty of the KLF. I was a pen pal w them during their JAMM days and he came to Miami w his fiance for holiday while I was living there. Showed him around, partied and he played me in my car the cassette of what was gonna be the first album Orb album but ended up being his Space side project after falling out w Alex Patterson. Good times!

I'm so jealous that you "were there"! I was in Miami living it thru The Face and i-D and import acid house and Madchester singles! I remember when The Hacienda had some traveling show in the US w Paul Oakenfold and Mike Pickering trying to introduce what was going on to that scene...me and my crew had our flares and hoodies on and these guys were dumbstruck on our accuracy! haha

Yes, I’m fact I lived near her twice now that I remember. Once by where my parents house it’s and later on she worked and hung out at my neighborhood bar. One of our fav things to do was take out of towners there so they could watch tanya Harding play video poker.

@ Kat: i can relate. Drugs never could do the trick for me. Until I snorted coke one day. That immediately felt right. I did that a couple of times but after I saw a friend of mine almost OD'ing on coke I quit.

I realised for me it sometimes even is a challenge to keep my thoughts neatly and orderly together when I am sober. Drugs and drinks often ruin it for me. So that's why I am squeaky clean nowadays. No alcohol, no drugs.
