For each item selected, please indicate two alternate choices or we will assign alternates to you (if your primary choices are out of stock). If you're pledging online, you can cut and paste your choices into the comments field, or you can just wait until we mail your pledge materials to you, and you can choose then.


FM3's Buddha Machine II
Blurring the line between music box and instrument, the China-based experimental music duo FM3 created these small plastic machines customized to run 9 individual ambient loops with newly-added pitch control. Musicians from Brian Eno to Blixa Bargeld to Sunn o))) have heralded and used this item in remix projects, for the average user, it's just nice to have around!

Wire - Object 47 CD
The most recent disc from legendary UK, artpunk pioneers Wire, who helped WFMU celebrate its 50th Anniversary this past October with a free NYC concert! Released on their own Pink Flag label.

Various - Bollywood Steel Guitar CD
Compiled from rare 1960's Indian LPs by Stuart Ellis for the archivists at Sublime Frequencies, this disc is a disparate romp through a history of some of India's greatest film tunes, featuring assorted stringmasters like Sunil Ganguly, Kazi Aniruddha, and Van Shipley.

Jean-Pierre Massiera - Psychoses Discoid CD
Cosmic minded French producer churned out mind-expanding sounds in the 1960s and 70's, but this particular collection of 1976-81 material focuses in on some of the most warped disco sounds imaginable, fused with horror-soundtrack vibe, crazed organ, and more.

Various - African Scream Contest CD
A great artifact of Benin and Togo's rawest 70s sounds, an amalgamation of traditional Highlife, American R&B, Congolese funk, Latin/Brazilian influence and more; well-documented and containing an eyepopping 44 page booklet that's the result of exhaustive research and photo-gathering. A big FMU fave for the past year.
