The Jim Flora Gallery
Author; Preservationist
My second book: The Mischievous Art of Jim Flora (published by Fantagraphics). 1940s-'50s album cover designer and hand-press illustrator who made the world look like a kindergarten toy room gone anti-gravitational.
My third book, The Curiously Sinister Art of Jim Flora (co-authored with Barbara Economon) proves that Flora should be known for more than jazzy LP covers and cuddly tot-lit. His rarely seen paintings, sketches, woodcuts, and prints reveal a darker, more diabolical side of this underappreciated illustrator.
