WE WANT YER STUFF!!!

You can receive a tax credit (not to mention a warm glow) for donating items to WFMU. If you would like to donate money to WFMU, please check our pledge page. Contact Station Manager Ken Freedman if you have something on this list you would like to donate. Here’s a few things we need:

STOCKS AND BONDS
WFMU accepts donated equities such as stocks and bonds. Because we are a 501-c-3 charity, donations of appreciated equities allow the donor to both deduct the full value of the appreciated stock, as well as avoid the capital gains taxes which would be incurred in the event of a sale of the stock. If you would like to donate any equities to WFMU, please contact Station Manager Ken Freedman.

CAR DONATION
Donate your broke-down jalopy to WFMU! We are accepting donations of used vehicles or boats from any state in the U.S. and in any state of disrepair. It’s a great way to help your favorite freeform radio station, get a tax write-off, and most importantly, get that junker off your front lawn.

Please fill out the form below, visit this page, or call CARS at 1-855-WFMU-CAR (855-936-8227) to arrange for vehicle pick-up (it’s free). CARS will sell your vehicle and pass on 80% of the proceeds as a donation to WFMU, with minimal effort on our part.

LPs AND CDs
Got some crates of dusty grooves? Lay ’em on us! WFMU is always happy to help you unload your no-longer-wanted records and CDs. These donations help expand our record library, and also create a healthy source of revenue at our bi-annual Record Fairs. Your generosity and show of support for freeform radio will be rewarded with both a hearty slap on the back and a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution. If you have LPs, CDs or 45’s in good condition that you would like to donate, please e-mail our Record Fair Director or call him at 201-521-1416 x236.

Individual recordings for possible airplay can simply be mailed to our Music Director Olivia at:

GUITAR AMPLIFIERS
We’d especially like to offer our distinguished guests of the Rocking persuasion a nice Fender Twin Reverb with 2 10″ speakers, but I’m sure we can be talked into accepting your Marshall half-stack.

HEADPHONES
If you have a working pair that you aren’t using, we could use them. With all the live music on the air lately, we’re always finding ourselves short of working headphones.

SPEAKERS
Small ones, in good condition.

MICROPHONES
Not to mention microphone stands and microphone clips.

PENS
Especially black and blue ink pens, as these are the official colors of the FCC.

POST-IT-NOTES
Any shape, any size.

BLANK WHITE PAPER
Of the 8 & 1/2 by 11 variety.

MONITORS
We need decent flat screen computer monitors to help us keep the electrical bill down and save space.

LIGHT BULBS
We always need incandescent bulbs, 70 watts or better, or flourescent bulbs to fit our fixtures.

PAPER TOWELS
We like to clean.
