BETTIE SERVEERT PERFORMS

Way back in the early to mid 1990s, Dutch indie stalwarts BETTIE SERVEERT were hot hot hot. Carol Van Dyk's breathy, smoldering-yet-vulnerable vocals over their unique VU-inspired guitar rock filled college dorms everywhere. It seemed they disapeared for awhile - but no! They've left Matador, formed their own label, released a new record and are currently touring touring touring - and yes, they've been opening for Counting Crows and Live...whew.

Today, BETTIE SERVEERT graces us all with an intimate & gorgeous acoustic set:

  • All The Other Fish
  • Healer
  • Home (which ultimately became "Crutches")
  • Mariachi Souls
  • Dust Bunny
  • Balentine

(we interrupt the Betties to listen to:)
Flor de Mal "Juanita" VA CONMEMORATIVO: TRIBUTE TO GRAHAM PARSONS
(...back to BETTIE SERVEERT):
  • Cut & Dried
  • I'll Be Your Mirror (Velvet Underground)

BETTIE SERVEERT remains:
Peter Visser: guitar & vocals
Herman Bunskoeke, aka Moe Ringo Bun's Quickie: usual bass player, today's drummer & sampler guy
Reinier Veldman: the absent drummer
Carol Van Dyk: guitar & lead vocals
Thanks to BETTIE SERVEERT for being a complete joy; also to their soundguy Patrick Boonstra; our soundguy Jerry Fabris; Chris Stubbs; and the usual great fellas Jason Engel and Brian Turner.
