Live Performance by The Golden Arm Trio

(Graham Reynolds: composer, drums, piano /Chris Black: bass /David LaBelle: tenor sax /Wayne Myers: bass)

The Golden Arm Trio is many things but a trio it isn't. As a chamber jazz ensemble it's basically the intricate music of Graham Reynolds, who chooses the musicians to play his compositions. (Could Golden Arm Trio possibly be a wry reference to Graham, using his talented limbs to write, play piano, and thunder on drums??) Reynolds also uses the Golden Arm Trio as an umbrella organization for dance and film music projects. Based in Austin, TX, the Golden Arm Trio has two albums available. The latest, "Why The Sea Iis Salt," Graham says is a fairytale, and features the Tosca String Quartet on about half the compositions.
